If we’re to truly push the limits of UL, a wind shell seemed like the perfect product.
Reevaluating the situations in which it would be worn, we aimed for the world’s lightest, creating a wind shell weighing just 43g.
Born from the pursuit of the perfect balance between “lightness” and “comfort,” the Gram Jacket came to life.
The “gram” in its name is not just a unit of weight—it serves as a measure to discern the essence that lies beyond lightness itself.

Unique 6D×7D ultra-lightweight fabric.
We’ve adopted an ultra-lightweight fabric weighing just 18g/m², made from 6D×7D recycled
By weaving ultra-fine threads at high density, the fabric retains body heat the moment you put it on, making it ideal for windy ridgelines or the chill of early mornings.
When layered with active insulation, it also serves as an effective warm layer during periods of inactivity.

A relaxed fit silhouette that balances lightness and comfort.
The high-density fabric, known for its tendency to trap heat, is balanced by the relaxed fit, allowing for better air circulation.
Featuring a full-zip design for easy on and off, along with ventilation, the cuffs and hem use partial elastic to balance lightweight construction with breathability.
The raglan sleeve pattern ensures freedom of movement, while achieving a perfect balance that isn’t too sporty.

Compact enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
A packable pocket is placed at the back of the collar, allowing it to be compactly stored to the size of your palm.
It fits easily into backpack waist pockets or bottle pockets, making it effortless to carry during mountain trips or travel.

COLUMN
Around 10 years ago, companies across the board were focused on developing ultra-lightweight wind shells weighing around 50g.
Using ultra-light fabrics and keeping the silhouette tight, they minimized the amount of material used—this was the conventional approach at the time.
However, today, wind shells are no longer just about "lightness."
Breathability, comfort, and ease of layering have become just as important.
As overall gear weight has decreased, wind shells have evolved to intentionally carry a bit more weight, prioritizing "comfort for prolonged wear."
In this context, we’ve developed a new kind of wind shell—ultra-light yet with fit and ventilation details that ensure comfort.
It feels as though we’ve arrived at an answer, redefining the balance between "lightness" and "comfort."
