There are sensations felt only in the rain. The steady fall of the it, a sudden shift in weather, a ridgeline battered by the wind.

We set out to create rain pants that would adapt to a wide range of environments, unaffected by the weather.

In harmony with the D.D Jacket, these 130g waterproof pants, with their experimental silhouette and innovative features, were born—designed to draw out even more of the jacket's allure.

A wide silhouette that offers comfort in the rain.

With a wide straight silhouette that pairs perfectly with the D.D Jacket, these pants maintain a unique balance that doesn’t make you look overly bulky, thanks to the supple fabric.

The tucks at the knees ensure that the fabric doesn’t pull when lifting your legs, making it difficult for your ankles to become exposed.

The hem is designed to be wide enough to put on over shoes, with an adjustable drawcord for a customizable fit.

The pants trap plenty of air inside the shell, reducing the temperature difference with the outside air.

A design with intuitive functionality in mind.

In rethinking rain pants, we focused on intuitive usability.

The front pass-through pocket, equipped with a flap and zipper, allows easy access to the pockets of the pants worn underneath. For waist adjustment, drawcords are placed on both sides for ease of operation.

Inside the waistband, we’ve included a packable pocket for added convenience.

A lightweight 3-layer material at 50g/m².

Waterproof, breathable, durable, and lightweight.

This lightweight 3-layer material, with a waterproof rating of 20,000mm and a breathability of 40,000g/m², is a material that leaves no room for compromise in any aspect of functionality,

and can be called the pinnacle of materials available today.

With excellent breathability, it not only serves as rainwear but also provides superior comfort as an insulating layer during periods of inactivity.

    The D.D Jacket had been a long-cherished idea even before the brand was established.

    One topic that often arose in discussions from the beginning was whether to create matching rain pants.

    Rain pants, being a simple piece of gear, present the challenge of differentiation. There were even voices suggesting that perhaps a rain skirt would be the way to go.

    However, as we used the D.D Jacket in the field, we realized that with the smooth, non-stretching shell material, we could craft a new kind of rain pants, one that balances silhouette and functionality through careful design and thoughtful features.

    By incorporating pass-through pockets—commonly seen in classic coats and overpants—we were able to eliminate the inconvenience of wearing rain pants, enhancing both practicality and comfort.

    This can be seen as one possible answer to rain pants in general that MoonlightGear®envisions.
